Lectures · Notes · Flashcards · Exams
A lecture you actually finish.
Lectly turns the free lectures you already watch on YouTube into a course with a finish line: progress that resumes to the second, notes and doubts pinned to the moment they were said, flashcards that come back just before you forget, and a daily goal that gets you to the exam.

From a playlist to a course
Paste a link, or share it to Lectly straight from the YouTube app.
Bring the lectures
A playlist becomes a course with every lecture in order, its length and a plan. A single lecture joins any course you like.
Watch and pin
Tap Note or ? while you watch. Each note and doubt keeps its timestamp, so one tap takes you back to the moment.
Revise and finish
Turn notes into flashcards. Lectly schedules them with FSRS and tells you whether you're on pace for the exam.
Everything around the video
The lecture stays YouTube's. The notes, the plan and the progress are yours, and they stay on your phone.
Resume to the second
Every lecture remembers where you stopped and what you've really watched, so "done" means done.
Notes and doubts
Write, highlight, add a photo of your notebook page. Answer a doubt later and it becomes a card.
Flashcards that stick
Question and answer or cloze cards, scheduled with FSRS spaced repetition, each linked back to its moment in the lecture.
Goals and an honest streak
Minutes or lectures a day. The streak counts only study, with two rest days a month.
Exam countdown and pace
Add the date and Lectly works out how many lectures a day you need, and whether you'll finish early or late.
Focus mode
One lecture, your notes and a timer. Speed per course, ±10 s, chapters and an A–B loop for the hard bit.
Share a course
Send classmates a link or QR code. It holds only the course name, section names and video IDs, never your notes.
Export
Notes as PDF, Markdown or text with a link to every moment, and cards for Anki.
On-device card ideas
On supported iPhones, Lectly can suggest cards from your notes, made on the phone itself.
Two looks
Pick in Settings, or choose Auto to follow your phone's light and dark mode.
Highlighter
The study notebook: white pages, ink-navy serif headings and a yellow highlighter for what matters in your own notes. Calm and made for reading.
Night Desk
The desk lamp at midnight: blue-black panels, moonlight-blue progress and mono timestamps. The exam countdown leads, and open doubts glow coral until they're answered.
Outside the app too
Your next lecture is one tap away, wherever you are on the phone.
Widgets
Today's goal and streak, continue where you left off, the exam countdown, cards due and your week. Home screen, lock screen and StandBy on iPhone; home-screen widgets on Android.
Study sessions
A Live Activity on iPhone (a live notification on Android) shows the session timer, with End and +5 min.
Siri, Shortcuts and Focus
"Continue my course in Lectly", "How many cards are due in Lectly", a Control Center button and a Study Focus filter.
Share from YouTube
In the YouTube app, tap Share and pick Lectly. The lecture lands in the course you choose.
Plays by YouTube's rules
Lectly uses the official YouTube player and the YouTube API Services, and keeps to their terms.
- Lectures play in YouTube's own embedded player, with the channel shown.
- Nothing is downloaded, and nothing plays in the background or picture in picture.
- Lectly never hides, blocks or skips YouTube's ads, and never covers the player.
- Video titles and lengths are refreshed every 25 days and deleted after 30.
- Videos a channel won't allow in other apps open in YouTube instead.
- No YouTube or Google sign-in, ever.

Private by design
No account, no analytics and no ads of our own. Courses, notes, doubts, cards and progress stay on your phone. Our server only looks up public playlist information and keeps nothing about you.
