Terms of Use
YouTube's terms apply
Lectly plays lectures in YouTube's official embedded player and uses YouTube API Services. By using Lectly you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to the player. Our own Privacy Policy explains what Lectly does with data.
The lectures belong to their creators
Every video stays on YouTube and belongs to its channel. Lectly doesn't host, download, copy or change videos, doesn't block or skip YouTube's ads, and doesn't play videos in the background. If a channel doesn't allow its videos in other apps, Lectly sends you to YouTube to watch them.
Your notes are yours
The courses, notes, doubts, flashcards and photos you make stay on your phone and belong to you. Keep backups if they matter to you: we can't recover data that was deleted or lost with a phone.
Sharing courses
A shared course link holds only the course name, section names, an optional first name and YouTube video or playlist IDs. Share only what you're happy for others to see, and don't use Lectly to share anything unlawful.
The app
Lectly is free at launch. Features marked "Pro" are free for everyone for now. If paid features arrive later, they will be clearly marked and optional, and watching lectures will always be free.
No warranty
The app and this website are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. YouTube may change or remove videos, playlists or its player at any time, and Lectly can't guarantee that a lecture stays available. Study plans and pace are estimates. To the extent the law allows, Workaholic Developers is not liable for losses arising from the use of the app.
Trademarks
Works with YouTube. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Lectly is not made or endorsed by Google. Anki is a trademark of its owner; Lectly exports files that Anki can import and is not affiliated with it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
